The Shanghai Steel Tube Industry Association was established in April 2000 at Baosteel in Shanghai, with Baosteel Group Corporation serving as the founding president. Recognized and registered on December 31, 1999, by the Shanghai Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau with the approval of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology. It functions as an industry service and self-regulatory body. Currently, the Association has over 200 member enterprises
